Adapting to the new working conditions became easier due to my colleagues, with whom I work in the frontline city of Zaporizhzhia. However, the greatest source of motivation and strength is my family. The most crucial aspect, though, is the understanding that people, particularly in communities like Vozdvyzhivska and Huliaipillia, rely on access to news about their city, especially in these difficult times. That’s why, despite the challenges of war and occupation, we continue delivering the newspaper to these regions, ensuring that local residents stay informed about key developments and events in their communities.

The war has transformed the focus of the publication. Now, instead of news, it is filled with more in-depth stories about people. These are moving accounts of volunteers and acts of military heroism, as well as poignant memories of local heroes who gave their lives in battle.
Before the full-scale invasion, the publication was widely recognised, distributed weekly, and had a broad audience, not only in the Huliaipilial district but also in neighbouring regions. The war not only destroyed the editorial office but also dispersed the team across the globe. Today, our media is a relocated outlet, having moved from Huliaipillia to Zaporizhzhia, resulting in a significant loss of subscribers, advertising revenue, and contracts with government institutions.
One of the most difficult articles I wrote was about a young postman and a Ukrposhta driver who were delivering pensions to people. They were shot by the occupiers' tank. I also wrote about the losses of young volunteers who went to defend the Huliaipillia region and the occupation of the nearby villages.
From a young age, I dreamed of becoming the editor of a newspaper where my articles and feature stories would be published. In 2016, that dream came true. After successfully navigating the privatization process, I was able to transform the "Holos Huliaipillia" newspaper into a modern and commercially sustainable publication.
